What is TakeWithFood Pharmacist Consulting?

TakeWithFood Pharmacist Consulting is a personalized consultation service focused on proper medication use and your wellness journey. We are transforming personalized care by providing exclusive, one-of-its-kind, compassion-driven medication assessment and lifestyle counseling conducted via telehealth.

By preparing a meticulously in-depth assessment of your health and medications prior to the appointment, we are delighted to deliver an uber-personalized consultation that is never rushed, discussing all things Your Health.

Are TakeWithFood providers credentialed?

Absolutely. All of our providers are licensed Doctors of Pharmacy with extensive patient experience.
The consultation information and medical advice is always based on the most current evidence-based medicine and clinical guidelines.

What can I expect before, during, and after my appointment?

Prior to your appointment, you will be asked to carefully fill out a pre-screening form that will give us with the information to prepare for your session. If any clarification is needed, one of our providers will contact you.

The appointment is conducted via telehealth (HIPAA-Certified Zoom account for healthcare providers). We encourage you to have your camera on for the best experience and personal connection with one of our amazing pharmacists.

After your appointment, you will be provided with the information that was discussed, as well as any recommendations that were made.

Will I feel comfortable voicing my private medical concerns?

One of the main goals of TakeWithFood is to deliver a safe and judgement-free space to finally get the compassionate expert care you truly deserve. Our clinical pharmacists love building meaningful connections, and will do so by giving you all the time and comfort that you need to feel secure in sharing your private concerns.

Do you offer appointments in other languages?

Yes, we are happy to offer our services in English, Spanish, Russian and Ukrainian. To request a consultation in another language, please specify in the pre-screening form.

Will my prescribing provider(s) be contacted by TakeWithFood?

TakeWithFood will not be contacting providers’ offices on your behalf, nor requesting dose adjustments or refills. 

Will my pharmacy be contacted by TakeWithFood?

If a clarification on your treatment is needed and you’re unsure about the details, we will ask for permission to call your pharmacy and obtain the medication information needed to conduct your thorough assessment.

Will I be charged extra for my session if it runs overtime?

At TakeWithFood, our consultations are designed to be deep and meaningful, never rushed. Though your session is prepared with the allotted time in mind, some conversations may run longer for various reasons. You will not be charged if the session runs up to 15 minutes longer. At this point, if much remains to be discussed, you will be advised to schedule a follow-up.

How much does a consultation cost?

Does TakeWithFood accept insurance?

The goal of TakeWithFood Consulting is to provide top quality, deeply personalized guidance that lacks in today’s healthcare landscape.
Providers are “locked in” by the demands and restrictions of third party payors, with you – the patient – suffering the consequences.
In order to give our clients the best care, TakeWithFood made a concious decision to step away from the use of insurance companies.

Can I reschedule my consultation?

Yes, you may reschedule your consultation by following the link to reschedule embedded in your appointment reminder email. 

Can I cancel my consultation?

Upon signing up for the session, you commit to the consultation just as much as we commit to delivering optimal outcomes. As we receive your pre-screening form, our clinical pharmacists begin dissecting your medical information to prepare for your session. This preparation is never taken lightly, and on average consists of 4-6 hours of evidence-based analysis. Please understand that for this reason, no cancellations or refunds will be made.

Can I get a refund for my consultation?

Upon signing up for the session, you commit to the consultation just as much as we commit to delivering the best outcomes. As we receive your pre-screening form, our clinical pharmacists begin dissecting your medical information to prepare for your session. This preparation is never taken lightly, and on average consists of 4-6 hours of evidence-based analysis. Please understand that for this reason, no cancellations or refunds will be made.
